Here is another Huda - a babe. How long will she live? Will she have the chance to grow up in Palestine?

Huda Ghalyia - she became the symbol of the Palestinian sorrow - her suffering under and in the wake of the massacre of her family, awakened the consious of the world outside a prisonlike Gaza Strip - able to grip the full tragedy and understand to what an extent the Gaza Strip Palestinians are suffering - left alone there, abandoned by the world. The tragedy was captured and aired by TV cameras, newsmedia and radiostations all over.We could hear her heart- rending laments, see Huda, a little tiny Palestinian girl sitting alone on a sandy and muddy Gaza Beach - bent over her dead father after that the Israeli killed him, a Gazan farmer, and almost erazed her entire family.

What bad things did this sad little girl do in her life to be punished so hard - be a part and a witness of such a horrendous tragedy.

The Gaza Beach used to be the only place for the Gaza Palestinians to escape Israeli terrorism on sunny and hot summerdays - No other place was safe for the children - and there was nothing else to do without money - not even the usual yearly frequent summer camping, not this summer.

There was no money - not even money to feed the needy. - Becouse of the shameful international financial boycott - instigated by the "Israelis " and their international US led,Israeli Lobby - and partly becouse of the closing of Rafah and Karni crossings that has paralyzed the Gaza Palestinian society since it began, after that the Hamas movement won at large in the Palestinian democratic elections.

Three months after the Gaza Beach massacre I will see the girl again, the same Huda, but in a different enviroment.

It’s 20:00 pm Saturday the 9th of September and I will meet Huda Ghalyia in a small village where she still lives.- The village is situated 1 km from the Israeli borders and from there we can see one of the Israeli settlements. The sounds from Israelis terror - bombardemang and artilleri shelling here - has become a rutine of horror for the villagers every day and every night.

While I am walking on the poor streets and the narrow alleys towards the home of the Ghayia family - I can see a small building, that is where Huda lives. In few rooms 7 persons, the remaining members of a much larger family that lived and shared everything together only three months agoe. Seven are left from the 13 who use to live here. Huda is meeting me outside the house - she is pointing with her hand towards the building and she said with a few words - "come inside and meet my small family - what is left from all of us that before were a family."

Hamida 42, Hudas mother and the second wife of Hudas father, takes care of the children, she is alone now without a supporting husband.

Hudas oldest brother is stilll a life. Ayham 20 is studying at the Islamic University in Gaza. The burden lays heavy on Ayam shoulders to support his family after that his father was killed by the Israelis - Ayam is forced and is expected to take responsibility for the family - become a mature man at the age of 20.

Elham 18, Hudas sister, is still in Israel to repare her injured arms and her fractured chest.

Adham 10,Hudas younger brother is a student and whish his father to be alive - he needs money to go to school - and he wish that his father would see him now with his old schoolbag hanging over his thin shoulders.

Hadel 9,is a student too. On that Saturday on the Gaza Beach, she was playing with her little brother Haitham 4 months, who also was killed in that massacre.

Hadel is still suffering from the trauma and have many problems from Israeli bombsplitter.

The doctors in Egypt and in Israel promissed so much, but they didn’t cure her,she has still parts of shells on the back of her neck, an operation on Hadels neck would create the skin to build damage cells.

Latifa 8,student too. She dreamed to wear a nice dress on her first schoolday - like other girls she dreamed to look like a princess in a new dress. - But the family does not have money even to buy her new shoes. Latifa was longing for the day when her father would send her to school as other chidrens fathers do. Her father was a hard working Palestinian farmer

The oldest daughter Alyia 24, is a student at the AL-Quds University. I didn’t begin to ask questions around the details of the massacre, because I saw the sad look in her eyes. I asked Alyia what message she would like to give to the outside world.

Alyia answered my question - "To the presidents of the Arab and Muslims countries I would like to ask, " Where are you - why dont you help the Palestinian people ?"

I asked Alyia why did you go to sea that day ?

She answered me,"we went to the sea for a summer weekend journey to relax and play and have some fun."

I asked her - "Where there other families near you on the Gaza Beach that day - or did your family stayed on the beach alone.?"

Alya answered me -"There were many families nearby us !"

I asked Huda how she is expressing her sorrow after the Israeli massacre on her family?

She said that " I see my father everyday ,in my dreams,in my mother's eyes, and with my little brother. Every night I have a nightmare in my dreams !"

I ask Huda. "did president Mahmod Abbas help your family out, as it was promissed after all the publicity in the wake of the massacre.' - "What about the Palestine minsiter Ismail Hanyia ?"

Huda answered me with a jeering look."I told you before - just with a pen on a piese of paper".

I am asking her -"what do you dream of Huda". she told me, she is dreaming of a safe life, to complet her studies and achieve her dream to become a lawyer, to take care of " my case" the Palestinian case against the Israelis !

Amany 22 yr, the middle sister ofHuda, is married and have 2 children ,one of the children was injured in the massacre.

I am asking her - " what happend to Huda after the massacre "? Huda answered my question her self.

"I visited the United Arab Emirates and met the prince Hamdan Bin Zayed Al-Nihian in his palace after that he adopted me.Many Arab country like Lebanon and Egypt also USA, invited me - but I didn’t accept because I need to continue my studies" !

"Our President Abu Mazen, and Ismail Hanyia the Palestine Prime Minister adopted me."

I ask her - what did they do for you Huda ? "Abu Mazen adopted me writing his name on a piese of paper a word of mouth agreement." - "Ismail Hanyia helped my older brother into the IUG(Islamic University Of Gaza )the studies are for free." - "Only Sheikh Hamdan is looking after me nowadays, sending money for my poor familly so we can survive."

This poor farmers family, exist after the Israelis killed so many members of the family, until this moment without any financial help from the society, or professional therapy to recover from their trauma.

Surrounded by faces of despair and lonelyness I am leaving the village in the evening and I can see from where I stand into the narrow entrance of the home of Huda - the small children are sleeping now.
